Tucker is a young male pulled from a kill shelter. Tucker has a lot of energy and will need someone willing to put time in with him. He is currently in boarding and waiting for his forever home.
Hi! I'm Maggie. I'm an over 5 female. I'm spayed, housebroken and fully obedience trained. I'm also fully leash trained. Aren't I beautiful! I'm a very sweet girl and love to be petted and loved on. I'm a very laid back girl so I don't get along very well with those hyper youngsters or those over dominant types. I get a little too excited over cats. I would make the perfect companion for another calm and submissive dog. I love people, especially those shorter versions called kids. I do have some skin allergies, but they are clearing up really well without meds. I'm waiting for that perfect family to love me and give me a home that I can call my own. If you would like to hear more about me please call my foster mom, Cori, at 419-608-5004 or put in an application on our website. I probably won't be up for adoption long so if you're interested please hurry.
Hershey - hopefully we'll have more information on her soon.
Judah - Hi, I’m Judah! I am a 5 year young handsome, pure Golden Retriever. From what I hear, I am a VERY good boy; and, in fact, the biggest complaint I ever get is about how much I LOVE to give kisses (lots and lots of kisses)! I am housebroken, I understand almost anything in “people-language”, I’m really obedient (ok, sometimes I get really excited and have to be told a few times – but, I really do love to be a good boy), and I have lots of energy (but I mind my manners in the house). I like lots of attention from everyone (even babies – yes, I know to be gentle, kids of all ages, and other animals – one of my brothers is a cat and we get along great), I am extremely affectionate, and I haven’t met a stranger yet (everyone is my friend)! Everyone always seems so amazed at how well I behave when it’s time for my mom to brush or bathe me, trim my hair or nails, clean my ears, or brush my teeth – I am just very trusting and patient. I am crate-trained; but, I do just fine having the house to myself for awhile, and I love to snuggle at night! I wish that I didn’t have to find a new family because my family (since I was a baby puppy) and I love each other SO MUCH! But, my mom and dad are just overwhelmed right now with work, my 2 big sisters and brother, the surprise new baby sister, and my best big sister’s bad allergies and asthma are only getting worse! They say that I am such a wonderful, loving boy that I deserve way more time and attention; and, the Doc says Sis can’t be around my dander anymore. We will all be very sad when I find my new family, and I may need a little time to adjust; but, if you have time for walks in the park (I’m trying to learn to stop tugging on my leash), lots of cuddling, throwing me a few balls, and to keep me looking handsome, then I am sure we’ll be very happy together! I am neutered and up-to-date on all my shots too! If you want to know more about me, call Jamey at 419-874-1906; or, if you’d like to meet me, please contact Cindy at adoptions@gr-rescue.org  or 419-822-5872.

Mack - was born September 25. He is a golden/black lab mix. He has had all of his shots and is ready to go to a forever home. He had ringworm but is healthy now and his hair is growing back just fine. He loves to play with the other dogs and is very loving with people as well. He is a very good boy and we are working on potty training with him. Please fill out your application and email it in today!

MARTY

Marty is a big happy, goofy, playful, lovable, high energy, golden retriever.

He is very handsome, with a black nose, dark eyes, honey colored coat.

Marty likes to chew on bones, if chew toys are not available he will search out shoes, socks, etc…you get the idea, and eat them in minutes. Chew toys need to be every where in the house.

If he take a valuable personal item, and a human or dog chase him, he has won. He wants to be chased. Marty seeks out thing that will cause human to chase him. No chase and the item is dropped.

Marty has not met another dog that wasn’t his best friend. He loves every dog has ever met. He likes to play.

Marty has a deep, strong, serious bark that he uses any time someone comes near his house. This is good protection.

Marty is very concerned about new people, they scare him, he meets and greets strangers with fear and barks, this is his attempt to scare those new people away. But, once Marty gets to know a person he is their best buddy.

Marty is a fun dog. He likes to chase throw toys, go for walk, get groomed, and receive any kind of attention.

He needs to have a home that will take him on daily walks, play with him, hug him, pet him, talk to him, and train him. Marty wants to learn, and he wants people to invest the time in him.

In a matter of days Marty learned to sit, down and respond to his new name, Marty. He wants to learn, but that means a human has to invest the time to do such training.

Marty has no idea how big and strong he is. He acts like a small dog. Placing him with small children is not a good decision. He might hurt the small child due to his size, strength, and enthusiasm, while lacking awareness of his size and power.

He will not tolerate teasing. It is best for him to go to a home that respects him and is consistent with behavior towards him.

Once Marty has accepted a human he wants to be hugged, cuddled and loved, but such opportunities do not occur until they are earned.

Duke - this AKC registered golden is 4 years old and is good with everyone - dogs, cats and kids.  He has all his shots and has been neutered.  He is crate and invisible fence trained - he was also shown in 4-H.  Like many dogs he doesn't care for loud noises and storms.  He does have some allergies that require eye drops.  He is microchipped and his AKC paperwork is available.  Won't you give this guy a new home?
Chance is a four year old neutered male that was brought to us because his owner moved into an apartment and he didn't feel Chance had enough room to run. Chance is on the small side, if he is mixed, we're not sure what with. He looks like a small golden. Chance is a great dog, he gets along with all other dogs (we're not sure about cats) and loves people. He is up to date on all of his shots, house broken and crate trained.
Chase - This active boy is an owner surrender. His owner was a young man who didn't have enough time or resources for him. He is a fun dog who is full of energy. He is a young dog with a lot of potential. He is currently in boarding and waiting for his forever home. Wouldn't you please give this boy another chance?

Buster is a Golden Mix who is under 5 and neutered.  Buster knows several commands, including Sit, Down, Come and Wait.  He is very friendly and is good around kids.  He is housebroken and a joy to have around.  Buster would do best in a home where he is the only dog, or one that has a dog that is not dominant.  He would love the chance to get to know you.  Contact us about meeting Buster.
