Event inspired by Andy Bechtel, another golden retriever who tragically lost his life to cancer.

Cancer is the leading cause of death in all breeds of dogs over the age of ten. The disease is especially high among certain breeds, including golden retrievers with over two thirds of male golden retrievers succumbing to cancer. To keep your pet healthy, learn the ten warning signs (right) of canine cancer and examine your pet often. Run a monthly "hands and heart" check by simply running your hands over your pet on the same day you administer heart worm preventative.

Watch for our traveling Canine Cancer Awareness booth coming soon to a festival near you and pick up more information on how to fight canine cancer.
