B e n

Ben is one of our newer additions to GRRR and was sadly surrendered by his owner due to personal reasons.  He is 5 years old and about 77#.  He loves to play fetch but only releases the ball after a little "lovin" at this point.  Ben was raised as an outdoor dog the last of his 4 years and is trained on Invisible Fence. We believe Goldens are people dogs and want to be with their humans, so this sweet boy will need to be an indoor dog, with lots of time outside WITH HIS NEW OWNERS.  He is one very strong dog with absolutely no leash manners. His new family will be required to attend an obedience class with Ben. We cannot emphasize his strength.  His previous owner said if he has a chance to get out, he will run.  This too will be corrected with training.   Due to Ben not being raised with children, his high energy level, his will to run, and his temporary lack of "leash etiquette", he will not be permitted to go into a home with children under 12 years of age. Like all dogs, it will be important for Ben to have an ID and dog license.
