Sweet little 9 month old, 50 pound golden retriever Lou-na entered our rescue on August 21st. She is like all dogs that are leaving their homes, very nervous with not knowing what is happening. As you can see by the photo of Lou-na playing with her new brother the day had a happy ending. Sometimes life brings changes very rapidly and that was the case with Lou-na’s family. They found that Lou-na needed to be surrendered and moved all in less then 24 hours.
Luckily, GRRR had a wonderful approved applicant that was ready on a moments notice to take the little girl as a foster to adopt. The nervous little girl went directly to their home, with the help volunteers who helped with transport on their day off to get Lou-na out and moved fast. Lou-na became great friends with her new brother right away! Now GRRR will pay for the rest of the vet care she needs while her new family gets her established with their routine.
