This adorable little girl is Pippin. She is a one year old smaller golden retriever who weighs just 47 pounds. Another Golden Retriever Rescue was was supposed to be rescuing Pippin but then backed out when they found out she had kennel cough which turned into pneumonia. GRRR stepped up to be sure this girl gets the medical care she needs then find her a wonderful forever home.

The ER vet in Iowa who initially saw Pippin charged our rescue non-profit $3,147.00. The next emergency vet (because of the 4th of July holiday weekend) near our city gave us a range of $2,500 to $3500. Pippin was placed on IV antibiotics and needed a repeat of chest films to be sure the pneumonia has cleared.

Pippin was able to leave the emergency vet and is now in her foster home. She was on two antibiotics and is now feeling much better. She is in a foster home with three children and two Boston Terriers and another Golden Retriever and does well with them all. Pippin loves to snuggle and play with toys. Foster mom says she does well on a leash and just loves going on a walk. She is quickly learning basic commands, learning to go potty outside and is just a sweetheart.

Pippin is now available for adoption. If you are interested in adopting Pippin, please read
