Lambert is a thoroughly charming 2 year old, 64 pound golden retriever who loves to greet you with a toy in his mouth. For people that have owned a Golden Retriever before and talk about how wonderful their dog was, well that is Lambert! He wants nothing more in life then to hang out with his people and get lots of love and attention.

Lambert is fine with other dogs, we do not know how he is around cats and has been around older children. When he arrived in our program he was very thin and had a poor coat. He has gained some needed weight and has been eating a good quality dog food to get his coat back into the silky soft condition that Golden lovers just rave about.

Lambert went to the vets in early August and was found to be heartworm positive. He is all finished with his heartworm treatment. Treatment for heartworm is an expensive, painful, sedentary treatment, that is like a chemo and done to cure heartworm. It is prevented in dogs by taking year round heartworm medication prescribed by vets. A few months later, he was given the all clear and is now ready to find his forever home.
Now is the time to apply to adopt Lambert. The first step to adopt any dog is to read
