here. Do you want to be a part of real rescue! We're still looking for a foster or forever home for Jay and Lola. What a sad story! Lola is a senior golden retriever and Jay is her Boston Terrier mixed pal. Jay and Lola were living in a trailer when their dad died and the two became orphans. For a long time they lived under a porch of a restaurant and the staff fed them from time to time and posted about them, which led to a spot in our rescue. The dogs came from West Virginia to find them a new home where they can live together as they are so bonded. Lola and Jay have been through so much but are ready to have some adventures with a new family.

Lola is a typical Golden that loves to be with her people. She is possessive of toys and pretty fascinated by cats. Because these are not high energy dogs they would prefer a home with kids that are at least 10 years old as toddlers would be a bit much for Lola and Jay's energy level.
The dogs were being kept in a kennel as we had no place for them. They were then placed in a home who plans on now adopting. We call these "foster to adopt" homes who have first chance to adopt.
If interested becoming a foster to adopt home, the first step is to read
"How To Adopt" and follow the directions from there.
