Miss Sassy was in an over crowded shelter being kept in a crate and not getting out very often due to the over population at this shelter. Luckily, a friend of the shelter saw how sweet and beautiful this girl was and got her out of the shelter and to our rescue. Sassy is 2 years old and weights only 45 pounds, so she is on the smaller side. Sassy is good with other dogs and just a lovely girl.

Frequently when we get an applicant that has a female dog and is wanting to add another dog we will recommend the new dog be a male instead of a female. The reason is the highest number of dog fights are between 2 females. Unfortunately, that has been the case lately for a couple of our foster to adopt dogs. Sassy is now one of those.
The older female golden retriever in the home is having an issue with Sassy and Sassy is feeling the same way. So we had to find a different foster-to-adopt home for Sassy. We hope she will be adopted by this family if she is a fit. Sassy is a sweet girl who loves her people, has been learning to walk on a leash and would make a great new family member.
Sassy is now with a family who plans on adopting her. If this changes, we'll let you know here first. If you are interested in becoming a foster to adopt family, the first step is to read
"How To Adopt" and follow the directions from there.
